Get Involved
This is a student-run fashion show, and we want you to be a part of it.
This event is centred around the question and concept of functionality overtaking individuality, where art and creativity are sacrificed for productivity. We want to challenge and reflect on that reality, and need your help to bring it to life. We’re welcoming creative input of all mediums, and would love to have you join us! No experience is necessary for any of the following, this is a learning opportunity for everyone.
Ways to get involved
Writing and program design
Write a short piece for our printed and digital programs, which will be handed out at the event and featured on our website. This could be a reflection on the theme, an artist spotlight, or your own take on fashion’s future.
Photo and videography*
Document the show, people, and pieces. Help us create an archive of the event and tell the story behind the scenes, so the event lasts much longer than just one night. We can provide equipment or you can bring your own.
Lighting and sound*
Interested in stage tech or production? We’re looking for help designing the sensory experience of the show; lighting the runway, creating a mix for the models to walk to, and establishing an inspiring vibe throughout the night.
Makeup and hair design*
Help style the models in a way that reinforces the collection’s message and aesthetic and coordinates with their outfit. Create moodboards, looks, and help models backstage before and during the show.
Host a booth/exhibit your work
We’re turning the show into more of a gallery experience, and are welcoming you to set up your own station, displaying your own individual work which aligns with our theme. Feel free to sell and advertise your work, this is a great chance to do so! We have a fee of $5 if you want to display your work, and $10 if you want to set up a station (just to help cover space and setup costs!) Space is limited, so reserve early.
