Join a student-led exhibition that thrives on collaboration. We’re looking for artists, designers, authors, and anyone interested in the future of fashion.
Writing and program design
Write a short piece for our printed and digital programs, which will be handed out at the event and published on our website. This could be a reflection on the theme, an artist spotlight, or your own take on fashion’s future.
Visual art
In your own medium, showcase your take on the theme. Have your artwork on display during the event, share your take on the theme, advertise and sell it to an interested audience.
Photo and videography*
Document the show, people, and pieces. Help us build an archive of the event and tell the story behind the scenes.
Lighting and sound*
Manipulate light and sound to draw the audience into the world of the fashion show. Help mold VOLOSCO’s hypothetical world into a reality.
Makeup and hair design*
Style the models in a way that reinforces the collection’s message and aesthetic, coordinating with their clothing. Create moodboards, looks, and help models backstage before and during the show.

FAQ
Any student may apply to VOLOSCO. There is no experience necessary for any of the positions. This is an opportunity to learn, grow, and put yourself out there.
Who can apply?
What kinds of work can I submit?
We are open to all mediums, so long as they can be displayed within our event venue.
You are not required to attend the event in order to participate in it or have your work on display. Attendance is only mandatory for those who are involved in the actual running of the show.
Do I need to be at the show?
To have your work on display, there is a $5 fee to cover space and setup costs. If you’re planning to sell artwork at the event or set up a station, the fee is $10.
Is there a fee to participate or submit?
When is the deadline to apply?
With the event being on August 19, we ask that all applications are turned in by July 28. Applications do not require pieces to be completed.
